Weaving Full Potential: Exploring the 7-Fold Practice
Course / Open Meditation with Geri Loizzo
Mind and body are like a loom, and what we weave on them is the fabric of human experience. The idea of tantric practice is that you use your mind and body to weave the fabric of your own heroic altruist. This winter and spring, we'll explore the ancient 7-fold practice of role-modeling imagery, a system which helps us to transform our ordinary state into a more enlightened one by envisioning and rehearsing the process of becoming.
An ancient Indian mentor-bonding practice, the 7-fold offering is the backbone of all esoteric Buddhist practice. It maps the process of close apprenticeship between mentor and student. In this class, we will explore His Holiness the Dalai Lama's interpretation of the poem, the Song of the Four Mindfulnesses.
