Teaching with Shartse Khensur Jangchub Choeden

We are thrilled to invite you to spend a special afternoon with an extraordinary teacher and friend Shartse Khensur Jangchub Choeden, on his rare visit to the U.S., Sunday April 8th.

The Rinpoche is one of the preeminent voices in the younger generation of leaders who have emerged from the great Tibetan Universities in South India to work closely with H.H. the Dalai Lama to preserve the Nalanda tradition. After serving with distinction as the abbot of Shartse College of Gaden University, Rinpoche was asked by His Holiness to be Deputy General Secretary of the new International Buddhist Confederation. He is also the new Director of the International Geluk Foundation.

Born in North India, Jangchub Choeden is fluent in English and five other languages and is often referred as the essential 21st century monk because of his deep grasp of our global age, and the potential for the Nalanda tradition to help humanity reach a future of sustainable interdependence.

In this special gathering, Rinpoche will share his vision of a global future inspired by the universal cultivation of empathy and altruism, based on the Nalanda classic of compassion training, Eight Verses of Transforming the Mind by Geshe Langri Tsangpa.

We are honored to co-host this auspicious teaching with our good friends at Tibet House US and Reimagining Doeguling Tibetan Settlement (RDTS). Please join us!

Suggested Donation $20, All Donations Will Go Directly to the International Buddhist Confederation.
