A Sustainable Happiness Daylong Retreat with Scott Tusa and Ana Velasco
This Saturday workshop retreat surveys the daily practice of clearing the mind, exploring the way the contemplative arts of the Seven Point Mind Training (Lojong) can be woven into a practice of deep mindfulness and restorative yoga.
The retreat will focus on how this heart-opening practice can help us break the grip of negativity, build an engaged social self and grow to embody the spirit of altruism, through mastering the arts of compassionate openness, giving-and-taking on the breath and transforming adversity into a path.
Participants will delve into the body-mind integration of the Lojong material in order to support experiential transformation. Ana Velasco will lead both energizing and restorative yoga sessions.
Loose-fitting clothes to promote comfort during gentle movement and sitting is recommended. Floor cushions and/or chairs are provided. Yoga mats are available, but you may want to bring your own.
An associated course precedes this retreat which may be taken separately. Find out more about the course.
