Course / Open meditation with Geri Loizzo
His Holiness the Dalai Lama says that Buddhism has much to offer civilization by way of understanding our minds. All human beings are susceptible to afflictive emotions that get in the way of our personal and collective peace and happiness. Getting at the root of destructive emotions means taking a look at the mind and mental factors, starting from the senses and breaking down the map of cognitive and emotional elements.
This season, we’ll explore that map and use the practice of insight meditation in the Nalanda tradition, to dive deeply into the nature of our mind and to discover our human capacities for both negative and positive states of being. Through this exploration and practice of Buddhist Psychology, we effectively become our own therapists!
