Wake Up and Be the Future: Embodying Transformation Through Uncertain Times
Event Navigation

An online gathering and dialog between Chantelle Brown, LMSW and Dr. Joe Loizzo
With the persistent challenges of the pandemic and the mainstreaming of Black Lives Matter, many of us have been undergoing deep inner shifts in consciousness, and some may be wondering how to take the next step into action. How do we move from waking up to our entrapped conditioning as individuals to embodying a new way of being, and getting actively involved in changing our world?
In this month’s gathering, we’ll look together at how the Nalanda tradition and the Black Lives Matter movement furthering the civil rights activism of the 60’s share a common vision and approach to a future—one in which privileged and oppressed communities can work together to create a non-violent liberative society and civilization.
Finally we’ll look at how invoking spiritual mentors can help challenge and inspire us to break free of the collective karma of violence and oppression we all carry and to embody the open spirit of acceptance and love that can empower us to create that more perfect community and flourishing planet.
