Cultivating practices that heal trauma and transform communities
with Nikole Lim
Overview
This 3-session, online course equips leaders to respond to team members affected by trauma from a spiritually grounded, informed and skillful approach. With the goal of preventing harm and fostering a safe environment, Nikole will help leaders from all walks of life bring new perspectives about trauma, accessibility, and inclusion into communities and spaces, with an aim towards implementing best practices of care and healing.
Participants can expect to gain leadership skills that develop and sustain individual and collective well-being; explore organizational development practices that foster compassionate communities; and learn how to prevent re-traumatization and bring transformation to organizations and communities at large.
The practices each week will encompass: contemplation on undoing the incessant urgency to do or fix; compassion practice to repair over-identification with trauma; and community wellbeing to heal relationships with self and others through listening, learning, and leaning in.
