Jonathan Szeto, LCSW, MA, is a clinical social worker in private practice
who focuses on the integration of Western psychotherapeutic approaches
with Eastern contemplative and meditative practices. He received his MSW
from New York University and an MA in Chinese Studies focusing on
Chinese philosophical and spiritual traditions from St. John’s University.
He completed the three-year Contemplative Psychotherapy Program at
Nalanda Institute. His previous clinical experience includes working at a
Catholic Charities community behavioral health center and at both public
and private schools, all in NYC. As a former high school teacher, he offered
an elective course on religions that highlighted Eastern spiritual traditions.
He currently does volunteer work with Buddhist Prison Ministry.
