Overview

PLEASE JOIN NALANDA INSTITUTE FOUNDER AND ACADEMIC DIRECTOR, Joe Loizzo, MD, PhD, Core Faculty, Dr. Pilar Jennings, and Contemplative Psychotherapy Program Director Rahshaana Green for an insightful discussion on the personal and social healing benefits of Contemplative Psychotherapy.

As a society we have much to gain from a dialogue between Buddhist and Western psychology, such as the integration of mindfulness, compassion, and embodiment practices with contemporary neuropsychology, psychotherapy, and social justice work. This integration provides us with a path to break free from fixed and limited views of ourselves and be in thriving relationship with everything around us.

Joe, Pilar and Rahshaana will also talk about how to access these teachings in Nalanda Institute‘s Contemplative Psychotherapy Program, offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, starting this fall.

The open house will address:

  • The rising confluence of science and spirituality to deepen healing and complete transformation at the personal, interpersonal, institutional and societal levels.
  • The power of mindfulness, self-other compassion, imagery, movement and breathwork in working together to effect change.
  • The importance of threefold training in contemplative practice, wisdom, and ethics and how these align with neuroscience, psychology, and social justice.
